What is a Sharing Tree Video Conversation/Interview?

It is a video interview structured in a conversational format. This helps the individual feel comfortable to share stories from their life experiences. After reviewing the interviewee’s completed background information sheet, a Sharing Tree representative will select appropriate questions to ask the individual from our list of hundreds of questions.

After an appropriate list is compiled specifically for the interviewee, the representative will sit down one-on-one with the individual, or couple, if the couples option is chosen. After the interviewee is acquainted and comfortable with the representative, the video camera is turned on.

The representative will start the conversation with some basic informational questions to help establish a baseline for the interview. These questions will lead into more specific questions designed to bring back memories from the interviewee’s life experiences. The interview/conversation will continue for as long as the individual has chosen.

Where do I have to go to get my Sharing Tree Video Conversation/Interview done?

You do not have to go anywhere! We come to you. All that we ask is that you have a quiet space that we can set up in. If you are in a senior care facility, we can work with them to set up a location on the premises for the video to be completed. If your interview is set up by a third party such as a VFW or a church, they will coordinate with Sharing Tree to

organize the appropriate interview location.

How long does the interview take, and how long after will I receive my video?

Depending on the package you choose the interview itself can be as long or as short as you would like. The base package is an hour-long interview.  After your interview is complete, you will receive your video within one to two weeks, depending on how many edits and pictures you choose to add.

What if I don’t feel comfortable being on camera?

No problem! We can do an off-camera interview and record audio only.

Are Sharing Tree Video Conversations/Interviews available in my area?

Sharing Tree is based in central Minnesota. We are a growing company and possibly already have representatives in your area. Please call or e-mail us to find out. We can also do interviews over Zoom if you are located outside of our current service area.

Includes:

a) Basic Package: $250.00

• One hour-long interview with questions tailored to you

• You receive an unedited copy of interview on a flash drive or micro-SD card

b) Couples (Spouse/Partner) Package: $350.00

• One-and-a-half-hour-long interview with questions tailored to both individuals

• You receive an unedited copy of interview on a flash drive or micro-SD card

c) Audio Only: $150.00

• An option best for those who would not feel comfortable on camera

• One-hour long interview with questions tailored to you

• You receive an unedited copy of your interview audio on a flash drive or micro-SD card

Additional interview time can be added for a small fee if alerted prior to the interview.

Extra copies of video for family and friends can be purchased for $30.00 each.

Editing packages and photo insert packages are also available.
